Tirana to promote intercultural dialogue during ALForum 2025

Tirana will host one of the most significant regional events of the year, ALForum 2025, taking place from June 18 to 20 and bringing together around 1,000 participants from 43 Euro-Mediterranean countries. Organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation in cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana and Albania’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the international forum will focus on intercultural dialogue, sustainable development, and regional cooperation.

Why is this important: The event also marks the official proclamation of Tirana as the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue for 2025, a prestigious title awarded by the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Union for the Mediterranean.

Over three days, representatives from civil society, academia, media, youth leadership, and influential institutions will take part in 6 plenary sessions, 100 parallel sessions, and 27 artistic performances, along with numerous networking activities. Held under the motto “Inspiring Knowledge, Driving Action, Uniting Cultures,” the forum aims to foster deeper collaboration and equip participants to contribute meaningfully to regional transformation.
