“The most forgotten place in Albania” wins top prize at KoKo Fest 2025
The play “The most forgotten place in Albania” by the “Aleksandër Moisiu” Theater of Durrës was named the top winner of the 12th National Comedy Festival “KoKo Fest” in Korçë. It won five awards: Best Play, Best Director (Andia Xhunga), Best Leading Actor (Gentian Zenelaj), Best Young Actor (Aleks Seitaj), and the Audience Award.
This year’s festival brought together theater troupes from Albania, Kosovo, and Italy, presenting seven plays in total. The closing night also featured a caricature exhibition by artist Ardi Karanxha and ended with the performance “Black Comedy” by the “Bekim Fehmiu” Theater of Prizren.

Korçë Mayor Sotiraq Filo praised the event, thanking the participating theaters and the audience for once again turning the city into “the capital of humor and comedy.”
