Slovak President Pellegrini visits Albania, pledges stronger ties and EU support

In a historic visit, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini met with his Albanian counterpart Bajram Begaj in Tirana on Friday. This marks the first-ever visit by a Slovak president to Albania. During a joint press conference, Pellegrini emphasized plans to strengthen cooperation in defense and security within the framework of NATO. He also highlighted growing tourism between the two countries and expressed Slovakia’s firm support for Albania’s EU membership, stating that without the Western Balkans, the European Union would remain incomplete.
