Prime Minister Edi Rama announced final preparations for two major events in Tirana—the start of the Giro d’Italia on May 9 and the arrival of European leaders for the EU-Western Balkans summit on May 16. Speaking from Skanderbeg Square, he called the cycling race a “fantastic event” that will present Albania to over 200 global broadcasters as “the Europe of the Balkans.”
