Rafael Nadal announces sports complex in Albania
Plans for the Rafa Nadal Academy in Albania, situated in Durrës, have been unveiled by Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal alongside Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Why is this relevant
The primary objective of this academy branch is to develop and promote sports in Albania through the dedicated efforts of Nadal and his team.
The Rafa Nadal Sports Center in Albania will feature 12 tennis courts, 6 padel courts, a multi-sports court, a gym and wellness area, a swimming pool, and a dining area. Additionally, there will be a shop and a museum housing some of Rafael Nadal’s trophies and objects donated by esteemed athletes to the Madrid-born tennis player.
The training methodologies established by the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, which was inaugurated in November 2014 with the opening of the first academy in Manacor under the same name, will be implemented at the multi-sport complex.
