KO:SH Film Fest 2025 opens in Korça with 81 films from 40 countries

Korça is hosting the KO:SH Short Film Festival 2025 from September 9-13, bringing together 81 short films from 40 countries in one of the region’s most important cinematic events. Over five days, the city will transform into a vibrant center of international art and culture.
This year’s theme, “Displacement”, addresses the realities faced by millions worldwide due to war, lack of democracy, economic hardship, and systemic corruption.
Festival screenings and activities will take place across key cultural venues, including Kinema Majestic, the Digital Art Gallery of Korça, the Korça Library, and the Korça Youth Center.
Bulgaria is the country in focus this year, with a special program curated by the In The Palace Short Film Festival, featuring six Bulgarian short films premiering on September 9. The children’s program will include screenings, workshops, and masterclasses designed to engage young audiences of different ages.
Alongside film screenings, KO:SH Film Fest 2025 will host panel discussions on sensitive and timely issues, creating an inclusive platform for dialogue and reflection.
The Municipality of Korça has invited citizens and visitors alike to join these days filled with cinema, culture, and inspiring debate.
