Jenny Berggren of “Ace of Base” delivers nostalgic concert in Tirana

Jenny Berggren, lead singer of the iconic Swedish pop group Ace of Base, electrified a large crowd in Skanderbeg Square with a vibrant concert on Tuesday night, marking her first-ever visit to Albania.
The event, part of Swedish Cultural Week in Albania, featured Berggren performing some of Ace of Base’s most beloved hits, including “All That She Wants”, “Don’t Turn Around”, “Angel Eyes”, and “Beautiful Life”. The crowd sang and danced along, swept up in a wave of ‘90s nostalgia.
Adding a personal touch, Berggren also performed several Albanian songs, which were warmly received by the audience.
“This is my first time in Albania, and I’ve wanted to come for a long time,” she told media before the concert. “I have Albanian friends who’ve even tried to teach me some of your beautiful language. You have a beautiful country.”
The festive evening was attended by key figures, including Albania’s Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, Swedish Ambassador Elsa Hastad, and French Ambassador Catherine Suard.
The concert is one of many cultural events taking place during Swedish Cultural Week, which runs from June 13 to June 19 across Albania. The program features music, exhibitions, and other artistic activities celebrating Swedish culture.
