Government introduces flexible work hours for public administration employees
Following a new Government decision, public administration employees will soon have more flexibility in choosing their time of arrival and departure from the office.
Why does this matter
The change is designed to improve work-life balance and productivity among public sector staff and make the public administration more attractive to potential talent.
What is new
Under the new regulations, employees are required to work 8 hours and 30 minutes from Monday to Thursday, and 6 hours on Friday. Employees must make sure that they are present at their work office during the core hours of 09:30 to 15:30. However, they will have the possibility to choose their own time of arrival during the interval of 08:00 to 09:30 and departure from 15:30 to 16:30.
These changes come after feedback from employees who indicated that flexible working hours would enhance their effectiveness at work.
