Cloud Festival: 9th edition uniting diverse cultures in one vibrant event

This year, the Cloud Festival marks its 9th edition, offering a magical blend of tradition and modernity. Although it is an annual event, this edition will present a unique cultural journey, introducing us to rich traditions and contemporary innovations from around the world.

Why is this important: From May 21 to 31, for 11 consecutive nights, over 100 artists from countries such as Azerbaijan, Mexico, Morocco, Greece, Turkey, Italy, France, and many more will perform contemporary dance, performance art, music, spoken poetry, and other creative activities.

The performances will take place in The Cloud Garden, a stunning installation by artist Sou Fujimoto situated in the courtyard of the National Gallery of Arts since 2016, and, as always, will remain open to the public free of charge.

This year’s edition of the festival will guide us through a rich calendar of activities, including talks, workshops, presentations, and festive shows featuring ensembles, orchestras, choirs, and DJs. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the culture and art of countries bordering the Caspian Sea, the Caucasus Mountains, the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean, Scandinavia, and Canada.
