Albania records significant increase in tourist arrivals for June 2024
Albania has seen a significant increase in tourist arrivals in June 2024, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT). The data revealed a total of 1,921,208 entries by Albanian and foreign nationals, marking a substantial 21.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
Among these figures, 676,241 were Albanian nationals, reflecting a notable 17.7% increase compared to June 2023. Foreign visitors numbered 1,244,967, indicating a robust 23.6% year-over-year growth.
From January to June 2024, Albania welcomed a cumulative 4,547,891 foreign nationals, highlighting its increasing popularity as a tourist destination.
The growth in tourism arrivals underscores Albania’s expanding appeal, supported by its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and ongoing improvements in tourism infrastructure. This surge in visitors is expected to contribute positively to the country’s economy, reinforcing Albania’s status as a rising star in the Mediterranean tourism landscape.
