Report TV poll: Socialist Party maintains double digit lead
According to the monthly poll conducted by Report TV in collaboration with Eduard Zaloshnja, the Socialist Party (PS) would secure a fourth consecutive term if parliamentary elections were held today, December 12. The poll shows 48.1% of voters, both domestic and abroad, supporting Prime Minister Edi Rama’s party. This reflects a slight decline of 1.4% compared to November’s poll, where 49.5% expressed support for the PS.
Key findings:
- Socialist Party (PS): Maintains the lead with 48.1% support, despite a small drop.
- Democratic Party (PD): Led by Sali Berisha, who was recently released from house arrest, remains the second-largest force with 31.0% support. This marks a 1.4% decline compared to November, when 32.4% supported the PD. Support for the party had increased by 2.2% in October but has since dipped.
- New Parties: Gaining momentum with 19% of voter support, an increase of 5% compared to November.
- Other Older Parties: Marginalized, with just 1.9% of voters backing them, a 2.2% decrease from November.
Diaspora voting trends:
Among voters abroad:
- 50.1% support PS,
- 30.4% back PD,
- 19.2% favor new parties,
- 0.3% support older minor parties.
Domestic voting trends:
Among voters in Albania:
- 47.1% would vote for PS,
- 31.3% for PD,

The poll underscores a stable lead for the Socialist Party but highlights growing support for new political parties, signaling potential shifts in Albania’s political landscape.
