Albanian Navy rescues 40 migrants in joint operation
This morning, the Albanian naval vessel “Oriku” P132 rescued 40 migrants aboard a rubber dinghy in a coordinated operation with Turkish and Greek coast guards. The group included 12 men, 18 women, and 10 children.
Defense Minister Pirro Vengu highlighted the professionalism of the crew and strong international cooperation in ensuring the operation’s success. The migrants were safely handed over to the Turkish Coast Guard for further care.
