International Cultural Weeks has announced the schedule for American Cultural Week, set to begin tomorrow, October 19, and run until October 23. The event promises a rich program filled with exhibitions, live concerts, and engaging workshops led by New York stylist Noor Bchara.
Kicking off American Cultural Week is a musical event organized by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) in celebration of its 15th anniversary. Elton Deda & Band will create a festive atmosphere, promoting friendship and cooperation between the two nations. The concert will take place on Saturday afternoon, October 19, at Pazari i Ri.
One of the highlights of the week is “Space Night,” designed to provide an educational and engaging experience focused on space exploration and astronomy. This event features a variety of interactive activities and exhibitions suitable for participants of all ages, particularly aimed at children aged 12 to 18, and will take place on October 21 at the American Corner Tirana in the National Library.
On October 21, in line with support from the U.S. Embassy for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), stylist Noor Bchara will conduct a seminar with AWE, followed by an open celebration, “Threads of Sustainability,” marking the five-year anniversary of the AWE program in Albania, which promotes startups and businesses for women aged 20 to 40.
An upcycle workshop with Noor Bchara will take place on October 22 at the American Corner Tirana. This recycling activity, led by stylist and sustainability consultant Noor Bchara, will promote sustainable fashion by teaching young people how to transform old clothing – such as blouses, jackets, and other garments – into something they would love to wear again.
Concluding the week, an American fashion and innovation exhibition will be held on October 23 at the University of Arts. Participants will explore clothing created by renowned American designer Noor Bchara, alongside pieces designed in collaboration with students from UA. The fair will also showcase video games and technology driven by youth, as well as handmade artisanal products by women, complemented by a live musical performance.
