National Touristic and Cultural Events Calendar launched in Tourism Events of Albania 2.0 app, transforming travel with personalized itineraries and cultural insights

The Calendar, launched by the Ministry for Tourism and Environment, can be accessed by downloading the Tourism Events of Albania 2.0 app or TEA 2.0.

Why is this relevant

The updated version of TEA offers travelers personalized itineraries, 3D maps, and enhanced experiences during their time in Albania.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the event, emphasized the app’s significance in showcasing Albania’s vibrant cultural and artistic scene. Albania has much more to offer than simply beaches, sun, sand, and hotels, he said.

Albania has been experiencing a veritable tourism boom over the past 3 years. The huge influx, with numbers growing from 7.5 million visitors in 2022 to 10 million in 2023 and with 14 million expected for 2024. Alongside the coast, Albania’s cultural and historical sites have also drawn increasing numbers, with 182,000 visiting its archaeological and historic sites and 800,000 visiting national parks in the first quarter of 2024.

TEA’s digital platform has swiftly evolved into a comprehensive resource, boasting thousands of downloads by tourists annually. It now serves as a one-stop destination guide, facilitating travel plans for all visitors.
