Albania and Kosovo forge partnership to preserve cultural heritage
The National Institute of Cultural Heritage has announced the signing of a Cooperation Memorandum with the Agency for the Management of Monuments and Memorial Complexes of Kosovo.
The memorandum aims to enhance and expand collaboration in the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage sites. This includes a particular focus on objects that were used during the recent war in Kosovo, as well as those that the Agency for the Management of Monuments and Memorial Complexes is interested in restoring and conserving for historical preservation and promotion.
As part of this partnership, the National Institute of Cultural Heritage has donated copies of the journals Monuments and Archaeology to the Agency for the Management of Monuments and Memorial Complexes’ archive. This donation is intended to enrich their library and facilitate the exchange of experiences to strengthen capabilities in restoration practices.
