Lumina Electronic Festival transforms Korça with music and visual spectacle
The Lumina Electronic music festival illuminated Korça with the presence of renowned Albanian and international DJs. The inaugural edition of the festival delivered an unforgettable experience in the city known for its serenades, blending music with visual art through stunning light shows, projections, and fireworks that created an electrifying atmosphere.
Initiated by the Municipality of Korça, Lumina Electronic aims to offer a diverse tourism experience appealing to all age groups, attracting electronic music enthusiasts from across the globe. It strives to establish itself as a premier event on both the city’s and region’s summer calendars.
Organizers exceeded expectations with this first edition, drawing enthusiastic young attendees from across Albania and beyond, resulting in fully booked hotels throughout the city. This weekend injected a surge of energy into Korça’s youth and numerous visitors, transforming Rinia Park into an electrifying arena of music and excitement.
The festival seamlessly combined traditional elements from Korça’s iconic streets and balconies, culminating in captivating techno performances by professional DJs in Rinia Park. The lineup featured a diverse array of musical talents who electrified the audience with their distinctive styles until the late hours. Notable artists with a global reputation in electronic music, such as Alex Guesta and Burak Yeter, were among the headliners.
Over the years, Korça has been very successful in positioning itself as one of Albania’s foremost tourist destination, mainly by exploiting the city’s rich cultural, historic and culinary heritage to establish a host of festivals and cultural events that draw hundreds of thousands throughout the year.
